Recent Sketch [12-3-12]

Ink and paper sketch - 'ultra fortress' - 'dark dreary'

Here is a recent sketch that I composed to reflect the current rain and gloom blanketing Seattle, WA. I turn to this style of 'fortress' building when the weather and light inspires me. When I get into the zone, the fortress builds itself and it's quite enjoyable focusing the denser portions of black to help pull more dimensionality into the overall piece.

P10V recent mention in City Arts Online

Pop 10 Vision is mentioned in the recent article 'Notes from the Underground' from City Arts Magazine style section. P10V has participated at several of this summer's Art Ache events. More 'ethereal geometries' on the way...

Pop 10 Vision @ Art Ache Market this Sunday August 5th

Pop 10 Vision will have a booth at the August 5th Art Ache Sunday Market which is hosted at Vermillion Gallery, in Seattle. Art Ache is always a good time with a combination of interesting vendors, live dj's and drink specials for those with the thirst. This month will feature dj's King Dude and Perpetual Ritual as well as many vendors including Libertine Tacoma, Twinsistr Vintage and Izzie Klingles just to name a few... Good times.

Why the name Pop 10 Vision?

This quick sketch was done in early 2011 while visiting Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was very much a stream of conscious reaction to the vibrant city arts and fashion scene that permeates throughout the city.

Pop 10 Vision is the offshoot of this moment of inspiration. It's about being and manifesting this kind of inspiration and setting it out into the world as vision.

Cheers
